     Dr. Rosen is Board Certified and his primary training is in internal medicine, which is essentially medicine for adults (think of internists as sort of pediatricians for the over 15 crowd).  As a primary care provider, Dr. Rosen evaluates and treats patients with widespread complaints.  His expertise encompasses disease and disability in areas including cardiology, lung diseases, endocrine abnormalities, kidney problems, muscular and skeletal complaints, abdominal and gastrointestinal issues, nervous system diseases, and  infectious disease concerns, and much more.  Dr. Rosen is proud to say that  he recertified in internal medicine in 2007 and scored in the top  percentages of all internists taking the exam.   

     Dr. Rosen’s emphasis is on prevention of disease.  He aggressively seeks out signs and symptoms of impending or hidden current illnesses before they become severe.  He provides routine physical exams, EKG’s, and obtains blood and urine samples on premises.  Dr. Rosen’s philosophy is one of open-mindedness and acceptance of alternative medicine approaches, although he practices nearly exclusively traditional medicine.  He believes the most important things one can do to stay healthy and prevent disease are based upon healthy lifestyles, such as avoidance of tobacco products, moderate exercise, and maintenance of a healthy weight.  He strongly encourages routine cancer screening, such as colonoscopy and mammography, and stays on top of patients to make sure the simple things are not lost in the shuffle as often happens.

     Dr. Rosen is a Medicare provider. Dr. Rosen does not participate in managed care plans currently, however, he and his staff with work with you based upon out of network benefits, co-pays, and other factors.  This way, Dr. Rosen is able to provide outstanding medical care in an elite practice environment at an affordable price.
